Notes From the Root

Good Beet is a reflection of my values, hopes, and dreams — a place where my thoughts and feelings live in public view, for any seeker who may stumble upon them. But truthfully, it’s likely just for me — a quiet offering, something to leave behind.

The Beet chose me.
I’ve loved eating them for as long as I can remember. They’ve appeared in my dreams, vibrant and symbolic. The beet has roots in the Mediterranean, where I’ve traced some of my own ancestry.

To me, the beet is more than food — it is heart and root combined. It embodies the root chakra’s grounding and the heart chakra’s compassion, a fusion of what it means to be connected and to care.

And as for its symbolism of Goodness — a beet seed isn’t just one seed; it’s a cluster, a community of future growth. Each is a multi-germ vessel, several flowers joined together in one form. Just as the beet roots and multiplies in fertile soil, so too does Goodness — if we are willing to plant it.

Meet Good Beets

If Good is who you are, Goodness is what you do.

“Goodness is the only investment that never fails.” Henry David Thoreau

Beetroot seeds are different in structure than other garden seeds. Each seed is actually a group of flowers melded together by the petals, which create a multi-germ cluster. In other words, each “seed” contains two to five seeds.  Let those seeds grow, adapt, and multiply.  Let your Goodness Grow.
